Last month SARCC was monitored by PCAR. The monitor took time to discuss our strategic plan and the process for both setting and implementing our strategic priorities. SARCC’s Board is primarily responsible for setting the strategic vision for the organization. At SARCC, this vision comes out of a series of intentional discussions focused on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats facing our organization. Staff, leadership, councils, and board members work together to create and understand this shared vision.
Our current strategic plan was set for 2019-2022. Our strategic priorities for the three year period centered on five key areas: enhancing infrastructure, developing a strategy for marketing & outreach, enhancing advocacy response services, expanding trauma therapy services, and reaching a tipping point in primary prevention activities.
Our staff have been meeting in teams over the past few months to set program priorities and assess progress and critical issues. Councils from both Lebanon and Schuylkill Counties have done the same. Our Board Retreat will take place on April 26 to explore overall themes and set strategic priority areas for the next three years. All of our work and all of these discussions are based on SARCC’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The work we do is hard, and it is meaningful and rewarding. Thank you for being a part of these efforts!
