Trauma Therapist
Non-Exempt – Both Part and Full-time positions may be available
SARCC is a non-profit human service organization focused on healing and prevention of sexual violence established in 1983. Trauma therapy has been a component of services provided at the organization since 2018. The Trauma Therapist is part of a team of care providers offering in-depth and specialized trauma treatment for survivors of sexual violence and their family members. Our organization has a commitment to valuing the decision-making and lived experience of the survivors we serve. The successful candidate will provide therapy to adult and child survivors of sexual violence primarily in Schuylkill County. Therapy services will be provided in a combination of mobile and in-office settings to best meet the needs of the client.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field; License to practice in the state of Pennsylvania preferred; LCSW or equivalent to practice and provide supervision preferred; 3 years of practical experience in the provision of therapy preferred; Good verbal and written communication skills; Comfort with computers and technology; ability to interact with people who are of diverse cultural backgrounds; have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation; Act 33, 34, and 114 clearances. Clinical supervision will be provided to qualified applicant working on licensure.

Housing Program Specialist
Full-time / non-exempt
The Housing Program Specialist works in conjunction with the SARCC Advocacy and Therapy department staff, HEALS-related positions, and interns to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and supports to secure safe, permanent housing for victims of violence or abuse. Key responsibilities include overseeing SARCC-related housing placements, including responding to HEALS program participants on needs, navigating supported housing options, rapid re-housing systems, rental assistance, landlord negotiation, safety planning, and navigating housing barriers (e.g., poor credit, debt). The position will likely work primarily out of the Schuylkill County office in Pottsville, PA, but be responsible for serving needs in both Lebanon and Schuylkill County. Travel between counties will be expected.
Successful candidate should have an interest in human services, public health, victim services, and social change work; have the capacity to work independently to track outcomes and grant reporting, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with small groups from various backgrounds on community mobilization efforts; have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The candidate should be willing and able to engage in community-based activities and efforts that focus on changing social norms, attitudes and behaviors. Educational requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. When faced with a challenge or potential barrier, the applicant should be able to think through new ways to address or overcome obstacles. Additionally, applicant can think of innovative strategies to connect prevention to everyday experiences.
