Survivors of sexual assault in Schuylkill and Lebanon Counties face housing barriers for many reasons — the housing shortage, poverty, a lack of access to mental health and social services, and, often, circumstances unique to their victimization. This year, SARCC met these barriers head-on with housing solution, but we need your help. For the first time, we invested in residential housing properties. Since then, we’ve provided 600 nights of safe housing for child and adult survivors and families. Our available housing will double in early 2025.

The Healing at Home project offers permanent, supportive housing solutions through subsidized rental assistance and case management services for sexual violence & human trafficking survivors, as well as populations at high risk for violence. Survivors of sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and human trafficking need your support now more than ever. Your gift stays in OUR community, serving our neighbors as they navigate healing from a safe home base.

The work we do makes a difference to survivors, and to our communities.

  • Your gift supports our 24-hour services, including hotline, counseling, trauma therapy, and housing support.
  • SARCC continued to provide access to no-cost therapy, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and IFS in both counties.
  • Last year, we reached over 17,000 people with tools for prevention in our two counties.
  • We opened 2 homes offering 6-24 months of safe housing for trafficking, abuse, and assault survivors.
  • 96% of donations support services.

If you would like to learn more about our work, and our impact, I invite you to review our 2023-24 Impact Report. Now, more than ever, child and adult survivors of sexual assault, abuse, harassment, and trafficking need the support of our community behind them. Join us in our healing work by contributing to this year’s Annual Appeal – Healing at Home. You can also check out other ways to give to our mission to prevent sexual violence and promote healing throughout the month of December.

Warmly,

Ali Perrotto, SARCC CEO
