Healing after sexual assault is not something anyone has to do alone. There are many resources that offer help, care, and support.

Local crisis centers, like SARCC, provide free and confidential services. These may include counseling, support groups, and help with safety planning. Every county in PA has a local sexual assault center. Find yours through PCAR. Centers also offer support for friends and family members.

Hotlines are another choice. Each PA center runs a 24-hour support line. Trained listeners are there to talk, answer questions, and share options. You do not have to be in crisis to reach out. You can call just to learn what support is available. Reach the SARCC hotline by calling 570-628-2965 or 717-272-5308.

Hospitals and health clinics can provide medical care. Some have staff trained to support survivors with compassion and respect. Sexual assault forensic exams are available at no-cost for right after an assault. Survivors can choose what care they want and what steps to take next.

If you are unsure where to start, or if calling a hotline doesn’t feel quite right, you can call 211 for other referral options, or 988 for general mental health support.

Reaching out can feel scary, but help is available. Local resources exist to listen, support, and stand with survivors. No one has to face this alone. Reach the SARCC hotline by calling 570-628-2965 or 717-272-5308, or send a message through our site to request a call back.
