At SARCC, trauma-informed care extends beyond the services we provide—it also influences the spaces where that care happens.
Our staff spend their days listening to difficult stories, supporting survivors, navigating crises, and creating safe spaces for others. That means creating an environment where staff can also feel grounded, supported, and cared for matters.
At SARCC, we’re taking a closer look at how our physical spaces can support staff well-being by creating areas that feel comfortable, calming, organized, and restorative.
Because trauma-informed care isn’t just about what we do—it’s also about the environment we create while doing it.
When we care for the people doing the work, we help strengthen their ability to continue caring for others.
Small changes. A big difference. ☀️
