The Sexual Assault Resource and Counseling Center (SARCC) recognizes the impact of sexual assault on all individuals, families, and communities. Through a limitless number of services, SARCC counsels and supports clients, advocates for the rights of victims, and educates on the elimination of sexual assault.

SARCC works with our local Lebanon, PA community to prevent sexual violence and promote healing for those who experience it. We will work with survivors whether their trauma occurred recently or years prior. No matter where they are in their healing journey, survivors are always in a safe space with us. Established in 1983, SARCC provides counseling, advocacy, and community action that will prevent the perpetration of sexual violence. Specifically, our free community programs educate on how to prevent child sexual abuse, human trafficking, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and other related topics.

In 2009, we expanded to serve survivors in Schuylkill County, offering these residents the same resources we had always provided and more. SARCC’s licensed counselors are trained in a variety of methods to help every person find their own path to healing whether it be by phone, virtually, or in person. Our sexual assault resource counseling services are confidential.

Additionally, SARCC continues to change the local community’s culture. This results in a community ready to provide affirming, trauma-informed responses to sexual violence. Above all, they have been provided with the skills needed to promote resilience and prevent perpetration. SARCC continuously participates in community events and works to make our services known to as many as possible. Likewise, one of the most common groups we present to is college-aged students. We educate on healthy relationships and the importance of consent.

The services at the Sexual Assault Resource and Counseling Center are no-cost and available to community members of all ages, genders, and identities. Advocates move with survivors through systems to support them and answer questions. They work with you and for you. You do not have to do this alone.

No one chooses to experience sexual violence. You can choose how you heal from it.
